Our Farm Fencing Work in College Grove

We work all over College Grove, from privacy and ornamental fencing in the neighborhoods to farm and rural fencing on acreage. Farm and split-rail is one area we’ve really found a niche in here. We’ve installed it on a number of College Grove properties, from large acreage and cattle pasture to horse property to decorative split-rail around a home. The materials and methods change with the job, and we set posts for the local soil and grade so the fence line stays true over time.

College Grove has grown from farmland into established neighborhoods, and we work across both the agricultural and residential sides. Whatever the property needs, you’ll get a straight assessment before any work starts.

Farm & Rural Fence Types We Install

  • Split-rail (post-and-rail). The classic rural look, and a popular decorative choice around homes and yards too. Two-rail or three-rail in cedar or pressure-treated pine. Good for property lines and driveways where you want to define the land without enclosing it.
  • Board fence (estate / horse fence). Three- and four-board fencing, the standard for horse properties. Strong and highly visible to livestock.
  • Woven-wire & field fence. For livestock containment. Often paired with a top rail for added strength and a cleaner appearance. A common choice for pasture fencing.
  • No-climb horse fence. Tight woven mesh that prevents hooves from getting through. The safest option for horses.
  • High-tensile wire. A cost-effective option for fencing large acreage where board or rail becomes expensive over long runs.

Farm Fence Pricing in College Grove

Farm fencing varies more than a standard backyard fence. The fence type and total footage have the biggest effect on price. As a general guide:

  • Split-rail and post-and-rail usually fall at the lower end of our $30 to $65 per linear foot installed range.
  • Board and estate horse fence sits in the middle to upper part of that range, depending on board count and finish.
  • Field, woven-wire, and high-tensile fencing on larger acreage is quoted per project. Longer runs lower the per-foot cost.

Every estimate is a fixed price after an on-site walk of the property. No hourly billing.

Williamson County Fence Permits

Most rural and agricultural fencing in Williamson County doesn’t require a building permit. Setback rules near roads and property lines still apply, and some subdivisions and HOAs have their own requirements. We confirm what’s needed for your specific College Grove property before quoting, so nothing stalls partway through.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of fence is best for farm or pasture property?

It depends on what you’re containing and how you want it to look. Woven-wire and field fence handle general pasture and cattle. For horses, board fence and no-climb woven mesh are the safest, since board is highly visible and no-climb keeps hooves from getting caught. High-tensile is cost-effective across large acreage. Many College Grove properties combine a few of these depending on the run.

Can you fence large acreage?

Yes. Large pasture and perimeter runs are quoted per project. High-tensile wire and field fence lower the per-foot cost on long runs, and board or rail is used where appearance matters. We walk the full property before quoting.

How much does split-rail fencing cost in College Grove?

Split-rail usually falls at the lower end of our $30 to $65 per linear foot installed range. Total footage and terrain affect the final number, which we set as a fixed price after an on-site visit.

Do I need a permit for farm fencing in Williamson County?

Most rural and agricultural fencing in Williamson County doesn’t require a building permit, but setback rules and HOA requirements can still apply. We confirm what’s needed for your specific property before quoting.

I would definitely like to start off by saying these guys know what they are doing! My fence and my hand rails look amazing. I actually stop and stare at it every time I pull into my drive way. I would highly recommend Proper deck and fence for anyone looking to put up a new fence, deck or just looking to upgrade. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and I couldn’t be happier.

This company is amazing! Matt came out the same day I called to make appointment for a quote and next day received the quote. He stayed on schedule, cleaned up the mess from tear down of old deck and hauled it away. His quote included staining. My new deck is amazing! I am so glad I went with Proper Deck and Fence. I had not been able to use my old deck for a couple of years due to its condition. Now I can go out every day and enjoy the outside. Love my new deck! Thank you Matt for doing an amazing job!
